The Shit Show Film Show is a DIY film festival based in Dublin.

This Film festival is open to everyone and anyone.

The premise of these events is to give the opportunity to everyone to dip their toe in filmmaking. It’s a safe and encouraging space for creatives to try out filmmaking, acting, storytelling and just to have a fun night out as well with no pressure and no strict guidelines.

The only rule is the production budget has to be 0€

You can film on anything: your webcam, a Nintendo DS, a phone...etc

The night consists of showcasing 10-15 pre-selected films, an awards ceremony and then music and a social night out.

The public gets to vote for the award winners. (bribery is frowned upon, though encouraged)

There is an open call for people to apply to be a featured filmmaker.

When selected; the filmmakers are given a theme and 10 days to make a short film.
